CHILI CON CARNE
El Chico's Restaurant Recipe
5 cups water
2 pounds ground chili meat
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons gound cumin
4 tablespoons chili powder
4 tablespoons paprika
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 cup minced onion
1 cup tomatoes, chopped fine
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon hot peppers
1/4 cup oil
1 teaspoon sugar
3 tablespoons flour
Brown meat in oil slowly for about 1 hour. Add onions and spices; stir, and add all remaining ingredients. Cook on low heat and stir occasionally.
